WET TALK
Sunday, August 10th, 11:30-13:30
Camping Delta, Beach
Via Gioacchino Respini 27, Locarno
Wet Talk is an introductory workshop on hydrofeminism, consisting of an immersive ritual involving guided meditation, lymphatic stimulation, and a sound intervention. This will be followed by a collective reading of excerpts from the book Bodies of Water (Astrida Neimanis, 2017), after which there will be a discussion circle where participants can partially immerse themselves in water. Wet Talk is a project by Zoë De Luca Legge, and for BaseCamp/Locarno Film Festival, it is being realised in collaboration with Chiara Pitrola.
Chiara Pitrola, also known as cosmic swarm, is a hydrofeminist practitioner who ritualises slowness through hydration liturgies as a form of resistance to ecological, sensory, and imaginative crises. She is interested in transcorporeal flows, viscosity, aquatic creatures, and oral poetry as a form of incantation, protest, and imaginative tool.
Zoë De Luca Legge is an independent curator, critic, and writer whose work focuses on the intersection of postnatural and transfeminist studies. Her latest project, Hedera, is a research publication dedicated to queer ecology, ecotransfeminism, and eco-sexuality.
